The 1975 Album Rebrand

Typesetting & Layout

A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships focuses entirely on life in the digital age. While it could be argued whether this digital world is making our lives better or worse, what can be proven is the fact that it is constantly changing and evolving. This concept of change comes into play with the type treatment of the album’s fifteen song track-list.

With the use of various pixelated typefaces, such as Furtism, Rocketman, and Manaspace, the tracks all work independently as their own element. However, by typesetting and building each song around the previous song, collectively they work together as pieces to a larger puzzle. This concept mimics the chaos and uncertainty of constant change and evolution.
